Muskegon River Trash Bash

  • M.E.R.E.S 2429 Lake Avenue Muskegon, MI, 49445 United States (map)

Volunteers needed! The Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve is participating in this year’s Muskegon River Trash Bash.

The Muskegon River Trash Bash is an annual family-friendly cleanup event. Cleanup teams will pick up trash along the river, its tributaries and the land that surrounds it.

MLNP has registered as a team and our cleanup around the Preserve will occur on Saturday, August 20th from 9am till noon. Trash bags will be provided, as well as water and snacks.

We will be meeting at the Bike Staging area in the parking lot of the Preserve. Look for the tent and our banner. Please bring your kayak or canoe if you have one. Much of the trash is in the water, in hard to reach areas! Waders, nets and grabber tools would also be useful. Please message us if you have any questions and we hope to see you on the 20th!

Rain date is August 27th.
